Demystifying Low Automobile Insurance Quotes

Saturday 31 October 2009 @ 6:50 pm

Right now just like many folks around the world I am going through some monetary hard times. Because of the downturn in the economy and cutbacks right now my work is cut down to four days a week for the next 6 months, which is a 20% cut in pay. I know that the limited amount of savings that I have put away isn’t going to carry me through this difficult time so I am going to have to look at all my household expenditures and make the cuts that are necessary. I think getting a bunch of car insurance quotes from different sources would be a good place to start, as the monthly premiums I’m currently paying are a bit on the high side.

Gathering a list of automobile insurance quotes from different providers used to be a time-consuming ordeal that I didn’t even want to bother with. That’s probably why I stuck with that other company for so long despite the ever-increasing rates. It was because I didn’t want to take this time that I ended up paying a lot more in premiums than I should’ve been paying. There are plenty of vehicle insurance companies online these days that it makes it easy to obtain multiple quotes and make sure that you have a comprehensive plan for a price that you can afford.

Many of the different insurance websites out there will offer you the use of their searchable database as a potential customer. All it takes is for you to enter some information about yourself and your vehicles and in no time at all you can have several different car insurance quotes from multiple providers all around the country. Some are from the well-known, national businesses, of course, but others are from places that I never would have learned about on my own. Many times it is surprising, and you might not think so, that these small car insurance businesses can offer competitive rates. The truth is since they don’t have such a high overhead, they are able to provide much more competitive rates which is exactly what I’m after.

After I received my quotes from these companies, and I have them in hand, all I need to do is contact the providers in order to find out which each policy covers specifically. I need to find out what the declarations are for each policy. IE; deductibles, and coverages, as well as whether I will be able to sign on for a month to month plan or if it has to be a long-term contract. Some other things that I need to find out is if there are any types of additional discounts for being a safe driver, not have any tickets on my record, and having a newer vehicle, etc. Those extras can really add up to significant savings, so it’s definitely worthwhile to at least ask.

If you are like me and you are spending too much wealth on car insurance, and you need to weed out some overspending, then it might be wise for you to do like I did and get these new vehicle insurance quotes. After I find a lower auto insurance rate from these quotes, I can move onto tackling some of the other things in my budget.

The fact is that switching car insurance is a really easy thing to do. You just need to get off of your duff and do it if you are paying to much. You can read more information by visiting http://pricecomparisoncarinsurance.com

Driving Education Will Get Your Teen Equipped For The Road

Saturday 31 October 2009 @ 5:14 pm

When the time comes that your teen aged son or daughter is old enough to drive, you need to make sure that you get them the best lessons possible. Get them aa driving lessons and they’ll be ready to take on the road. Typically, teen aged drivers receive a learning permit before getting their permanent drivers license. Driving statistics cite that young drivers, especially boys are 75% more likely to have an automobile accident than an experienced driver.

Knowing this, it is of the utmost importance that your children be provided with the best possible instruction. Having a driver’s license should be treated as a gift, not a right. Many public schools have been forced to discontinue driver’s education training recently because of insurance costs. Parents must pay for private lessons to get their children the best instruction.

Upon entering driving lessons, students learn fundamental lessons about the hazards of teen driving. Many counties require a provisional license be obtained before an individual ever gets behind the wheel. For this reason, students must first learn the essentials of the road. You will begin with simple laws that everyone must know before driving. These laws and rules will be catered to your locale.

You will learn about lights and signals, right of way and stop sign procedures. You will learn about the different parts of the vehicle that you have control over and how to master these tools. You may have a mock automobile section in your classroom. This is a very valuable tool. This will allow you to get the true sense of getting behind the wheel without being out loose in the world.

After you pass initials tests letting your trainer know you’re ready to get on the road, you will get your first lesson behind the wheel. The car you drive will have dual controls; this lets your instructor make the final decision on each step you take. If something happens, they can take over and right the situation. While you may not appreciate this, you’ll be glad that someone else can save you and the car if you make the wrong move.

The first time you drive, you will most likely be in an instructional area. Driving in an instructional area will let you feel what the controls are like and become ready to use them. When you and your trainer feel you are prepared, you will be allowed to drive on the street.

Usually, you will drive on back roads and in unpopulated areas to get some time on the roads with the least chance of accidents. Your instructor will split time between classroom instruction and behind the wheel training. The further you progress, the more time you will spend behind the wheel. Instruction time is usually about 20 hours of classroom training and 20-30 hours of driving time.

After you have finished these class and on road hours, you will take a preliminary exam. The exam will show your trainer that you are prepared to take the actual exam for your drivers’ license. Typically a student can take the exam three times before they are required to go back for further lessons. As long as you pay attention to your instruction, you should pass on the first try.

Advantages of Leasing A Car Vs Purchasing It

Saturday 31 October 2009 @ 4:04 pm

A choice between leasing and buying is to be made by a person who needs a car urgently. It can be difficult to decide especially when you are not aware of the benefits of leasing compared to buying.

You have to know what is good for you. Both the options are good but these have their own advantages and disadvantages. You have to see what suits you the best and then make a decision whether you lease or buy.

You can make a decision based upon the period for which you require a vehicle. If you need for a short term, you should not purchase it rather lease it and pay small monthly amounts for the period.

You can always get the car by paying easy monthly sums. Once the lease period ends, you can either return the car. In case you need it for more time, you can ask for an extension and keep paying monthly sums again to keep the car.

You should also know about a fact that vehicle depreciation can reduce the value of your car. It loses its value, a certain percentage, every month. If you have thought of selling it after a few years, the value at that time will be lesser and it will have depreciated.

When you lease a car, you do not have to deal with issues with vehicle depreciation. You can lease the car for the time you need it and do not worry about anything else. You also normally lease for a year and the depreciation is not much for a year.

Leasing a car is better as compared to purchasing it. You can search online for car leasing quotes and compare them to find out the best one for you.

Vehicle Insurance — Ways To Qualify For More Affordable Rates

Saturday 31 October 2009 @ 9:28 am

This article is about other ways you can get better rates. Here they are with a precaution you mustn’t fail to note…

1. Insurers give give customers who have remained loyal a long term discount and accident forgiveness. Depending on the insurer, you’ll be eligible for a discount of 5% once you’ve stayed with them for between three and five years.

The accident forgiveness discount means that your insurer will not raise your rates if you file just one claim. Insurers offer these as incentives to keep you with them since it serves them better too. The longer you stay, the more you’ll save.

However, what you may save by switching to another insurer might far outweigh all the incentives you’ll get depending on what your rates are and how much another insurer is ready to offer.

Cheap Auto Insurance

Assuming your auto insurance rate is $2,500 and you get a 5% discount when you stay for up to five years you’ll pay $2,500 - (5% of $2,500 or $125) = $2,375.

But we can almost say with a level of assurance that because of inflation your premium would most likely not stay the same. But if you are someone who does regular shopping for auto insurance you’ll almost always get an insurance carrier within those years of waiting who will give you comparable coverage for less. Then it won’t be wise to stay put because you want to qualify for a discount down the road knowing that the expected discount is less than savings you will get now if you change to another insurer.

And, in most cases, most folks can easily pay more affordable rates than they are presently on auto insurance if they shop right.. To be sure you are not simply missing out a better deal, get and compare auto insurance quotes not less than five insurance quotes sites..

2. Keep an excellent credit rating. Having a bad credit rating is simply making it hard for yourself apart from the fact that your premium will be much more. There are several reasons for this but this one ranks high among them: If you have a bad credit rating then it could only mean you have defaulted in payments at some points. It’s normal for insurers to infer that a person who misses credit card payments will likely miss payments of auto insurance premiums. This assumption of high risk makes such individuals attract very high rates in auto insurance and other insurance policies.

3. Raise your deductible and you will get lower rates. The recommended choice is the highest you can provide with ease.

I must emphasize that going to provide this amount whenever you file a claim.

4. Drive as little as possible since it will lower your mileage and qualify you for a low mileage discount. This certainly is the way to go if you live in a city where you have access to modern mass transit networks.

Joining a carpool is also another great way of bringing down your mileage.

5. Joining an auto club could attract a discount with a good number of insurance carriers. Don’t allow the smallness of the discount this may get you stop you from taking advantage of it if it makes sense in your situation.

Protect Yourself With An Auto Insurance Policy

Saturday 31 October 2009 @ 7:01 am

Auto insurance policies cover insured party, insured vehicle as well as third party that are involved in the accident. Different policies are available for the customers and they can purchase anyone as per their requirements. Coverage levels can vary for each auto insurance policy owner.

Coverage for an automobile may include only the named driver or may extend to the driver’s household members or the other party involved in the accident. A policy may be purchased for a certain event only such as an accident or may be extended to include other events such as theft or acts of God.

Insurance is essential to any automobile owner and is required by law in some states. The cost of the insurance policy depends on factors such as the insured’s driving record, the amount and type of coverage requested, and sometimes the insured’s consumer credit report. Paying insurance premiums on time protects the insured so when the accident or event does occur only the deductible must be paid and the car will be repaired.

Auto insurance is pricey because it is the best way to secure you and your automobile. Main types of auto insurance are as follows: Fully Comprehensive auto insurance policy owner Third party (fire & theft) Third party insurance specialized automobile insurance

Most drivers choose to purchase comprehensive insurance because it offers the most protection for the investment. However, not all drivers need full coverage especially if an older vehicle with a lower value is being insured. In this case, third party insurance may be desired. This policy only offers coverage if you are at fault in an accident that causes damage to another vehicle. While this option is cheaper, the insured may end up paying more out-of-pocket if all damages are not covered.

Specialized automobile insurance is for the 25 years elderly vehicles. These vehicles require special services so these are categorized as classic. An individual can select the best as per his or her requirements. But whenever you go to purchase these policies you’ve to be sure about the source from where you?re going to buy the insurance policy owner. You should first make you budget means how much you can afford to pay for auto insurance policy owner premium.

Once the driver determines how much they can afford to spend on car insurance, a decision must be made on how much coverage can be obtained within that budget. A driver can contact an insurance agent and give them their budget and coverage requirements and allow the agent to suggest a policy that will fit within those guidelines. Another way to find a policy within the budget and coverage is to go online and request quotes from different insurance companies. The most important thing is for the insured to make sure their investment will be covered when a qualifying event occurs.

Car Insurance Companies - Save on Your Premiums by Comparison Shopping

Friday 30 October 2009 @ 7:36 pm

When you purchase car insurance, you need to check with several companies before you even consider signing for one. Company prices for their insurance varies for many different reasons, none of which have anything to do with the quality of the insurance product.

The prices of coverage from different car insurance companies is often tied to their record of losses. If the insurer has historically given coverage to drivers who turned out to be high risk and had to pay out more claims than anticipated, their premiums will tend to be higher. These higher premiums may either be distributed across all drivers or only in specific demographic groups or among those drivers with a particular type of vehicle.

Even if a friend gets a great deal from one company, it does not mean that you will also find them to be the best deal for you. Your age and the type of car you drive can make a big difference in your premiums.

The efficiency with which auto insurance companies are run also makes a difference in their prices. In many cases, small insurance companies are able to provide their customers with lower rates because of their higher efficiency and lower overhead costs.

Another factor in the rates charged by auto insurance companies is the returns they see from their investment activities. Insurers often invest premiums paid by consumers and the outcome of these investments can impact the prices their customers pay.

You also need to check the ratings of the car insurance company before you jump at any low price. Financial ratings from organizations like AM Best are important but you need to look further. If you find the company has a lot of customer complaints about payment or service, back away rapidly.

Another way to avoid forced increases in premium is to get competitive quotes. Before the Internet became a powerful shopping tool, it took hours of calling and repeating your information to even secure a few quotes from local representatives. Most people decided that it was not just too much work, it was also uncomfortable telling strangers everything about your driving history. When you left your number for a call back quote, it meant months of solicitation calls followed your inquiry.

Today, it takes only a few minutes of anonymous searching on the Internet to find the auto insurance companies with the best rates. Most websites offer you the luxury of getting quotes from multiples of car insurance companies and all you need to do is input your information once. You can secure quotes 24/7 on the Internet, unlike the business hours only quotes from brick and mortar insurance offices. There’s no need to be captive to high rates anymore. You’ll find everything you need to start saving money on premiums just a keystroke away.

Save Money Using a Car Insurance Quick Quote

Friday 30 October 2009 @ 7:29 pm

In order to spare yourself the stress and the headache of costly car insurance premiums, premiums that seem to cost more and more each year, consider getting a car insurance quick quote. You can find these quote online from a variety of companies with prices and plans to meet your particular needs.

But will you have to sacrifice quality coverage for a reasonable premium? The answer is no. Many companies price their insurance based on a variety of factors, such as loss experience, operating expenses, and investment experience. A company charging an outlandish price might be doing so to cover a loss in one of these areas.

You might recognize some companies immediately because they advertise on television. Their clever advertising campaigns cost thousands of dollars, dollars that the customers pay for through their insurance premiums.

When you first get your car insurance quick quote you might see names you aren’t familiar with. Again, name recognition isn’t a sign of quality services. It could simply be that they spend their money on providing for their customers rather than their advertisers.

If you want to feel less uncertain about a particular company, an easy way to discover how solid they are is to check their financial rating. Most companies freely offer that information at their website. Another option would be to check for customer complaints, particularly in your state, which you can do by visiting the website of your state’s Department of Insurance.

If you want a name you recognize, you’ll find those included in a car insurance quick quote. Websites offer a number of different companies. Some are relatively small and others are the giants that have been around for years. You can see the difference in rates and decide for yourself.

When you look for a car insurance quick quote, make certain that you compare apples to apples. Input the exact information on the coverage you presently carry. Make sure the deductibles remain the same in the quote and that you secure a quote with the same liability coverage. Both of these factors make a huge difference in the final price. A bargain isn’t a bargain if you get less coverage.

After you’ve found a good company with a great rate, see if you can improve the coverage or the rate even more. Check for any discounts for which you’re eligible. There are often discounts for safety equipment, theft control, multiple cars, multiple policies or good students.

Don’t finalize your choice until you have the package you want. And play with your quick quote options until you have the company and the coverage that’s best for you. The more deductibles you have, the lower your premium will be.

Also, consider increasing the limits of your liability. You’ll find that the price difference isn’t that great for the increased coverage. If you have too low of limits and cause an accident that involves high costs for medical bills, lower limits or state minimums may not cover the cost. Anything not paid for by your insurance company is your responsibility. It only makes sense to pay a few dollars more for the best possible limits.

Need a quick car insurance quote from multiple car insurance companies? Then visit Cheap-Motor-Car-Insurance.com to get the best car insurance quotes.

Lotus Exige Scura

Friday 30 October 2009 @ 6:32 pm

While a majority of automakers are bailing out of the Tokyo Motor Show, it is nice to see that there will indeed be a few new models to look at when it comes to be show time. One such vehicle will be a special edition sports car from he light weight English race car builders at Lotus. While the boffins from across the pond have already engineered every unnecessary ounce out of the Exige in the hopes of creating a hard core driving experience, this particularly dark model focuses on making the little Lotus as sinister looking as it is lethal. The special edition Tokyo Motor Show Lotus Exige is named the Scura, which is the Italian word for dark, due to its dramatic black bodywork and a GT3 inspired rear end.

Priced at around $75,000 the Exige Scura features a trio of Phantom Black stripes to break up the large panels of matte black paint, however the carbon fiber bits and suede wrapped racing buckets go a bit further towards showing off the Scura’s true purpose of being an all out competition vehicle. Only now instead of laughing at bright orange bodywork, other drivers will stay out of this Lotus’ way. Like all Exige models the Scura is powered by a supercharged four cylinder engine that delivers a maximum output of 257 HP 174 lb-ft of torque, while it can sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in only 4 seconds and reach a top speed of 152 MPH.

Lotus Cars unveils its latest special edition - the Exige Scura, so called due to its dramatic matt black and carbon fibre theme, at the Tokyo International Motorshow on 21st of October 2009.

Translated as ‘dark’ from Italian, the name ‘Scura’ reflects the stealth character of this already fierce looking Lotus and its stunning soft-feel matt black paint finish. Limited to just 35 cars globally, this Exige evokes a desire to ‘indulge your dark side’. This is a serious looking car and enhancements to performance and a reduction in weight from the production level Exige S means that the Exige Scura demands to be driven by a serious driver.

Contrasting high gloss ‘Phantom Black’ triple stripes run the length of the car and a carbon fibre front splitter, oil cooler inlet vanes, side airscoops and rear spoiler enhance the stunning distinction between the different textures and exaggerate the tactile quality of the velvety touch to the matt black paint finish.

Luke Bennett, Director of Lotus Cars said, “The Exige Scura is a stunning vehicle which offers an adrenaline fuelled experience and is a real head-turner! Our Exige customers choose Lotus because we deliver thrilling performance and dynamic design and this special edition fits the bill on both counts.
